Day 1 Welcome to Athens
On arrival you will be escorted to our luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 2 Best of Ancient + Modern Athens
Spend your morning in Greece`s busy capital exploring the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. Highlights include the famous Parthenon frieze and the “forest” of magnificent archaic statues. Although Athens is renowned for its ancient glories, it is a vibrant city that lives very much in the present, with people filled with a lust for life, art, and music. This evening, mingle with the modern Athenians in attending a musical performance at Athens Concert Hall.
Day 3 Onward to the Oracle at Delphi
Depart today for the mountainside village of Delphi and the famous oracle of Apollo considered by the ancient Greeks as the center of the world. At the Delphi Museum marvel at some of the most exquisite examples of ancient Greek art including the famous bronze charioteer. After your Check in explore on your own the modern charming village at the slopes of Mount Parnassus.
Day 4 Majestic Meteora Monasteries
This morning travel to one of Christianity’s holiest places set in a landscape of rare beauty. Marvel at the unique geological phenomenon of the “hanging” rocks, visit centuries-old monasteries of unparalleled beauty, and get special access to the kitchen of our favorite local restaurant to choose yourself what goes on your plate. Later, cross the great plain of Thessaly to visit Volos, the land of Jason and the Argonauts.
Day 5 Idyllic villages of Mount Pelion
Explore the highlights of Mount Pelion, the summer resort of the ancient Greek gods. Marvel at majestic views, experience the slow-paced lifestyle in the mountain villages, and enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch in a unique setting. In the afternoon, visit an award-winning family-owned olive press to sample Pelion olives and learn about extra virgin olive oil production. This evening is yours to relax and take a stroll along the waterfront of Volos.
Day 6 History & Flavors of Volos + Greek Dances
Trace 9,000 years of Greek history while exploring Volos’ archaeological treasures including a visit to the oldest village in Europe. In the afternoon, join our experienced instructor in a memorable traditional Greek dancing class. Tonight, you will dine at a tsipouro restaurant and experience Volos’ famous gastronomic tradition.
Day 7 Onward to Skiathos island
This morning take the ferry to cosmopolitan Skiathos. The island boasts spectacular pine-forested landscapes and over 60 dream beaches, one of which, Koukounaries, is consistently ranked among the top three in Greece. The perfect place to simply switch off and enjoy the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea.
Day 8 Explore Skiathos
Tour Skiathos’ fascinating sights including the Monastery of the Annunciation where the first Greek flag was woven, the Venetian fortress at the harbor, and the famous Papadiamanti street, the main shopping area in Skiathos Town with elegant boutique stores selling handcrafted items. Enjoy lunch at a seaside tavern and return to hotel where your evening is at leisure.
Day 9 Day cruise to Skopelos
Skopelos is so idyllic and picture-perfect that Hollywood chose it as a set for the famous movie "Mamma Mia." Climb the steps to the chapel of Agios Ioannis, stroll the adorned with pink bougainvillea vines streets of Skopelos Town, and indulge in a traditional island feast by the harbor.
Day 10 Farewell Greece
We will take you to the Skiathos Airport for your flight to Athens and form there to your home country .
